Troy Kinne

Troy KinneTroy is often recognized from his performance on ‘The Search for Australia’s Funniest Man’ DVD featured with FHM magazine in Jan 2006. Troy had been performing stand up comedy for less than a year prior to this performance and has since won almost every young comic competition in the country. Among which was the ‘You Gotta Be Joking’ competition at the Comic’s Lounge in Melbourne. This win saw Troy receive the prize of a trip to New York to attend the American Institute of Comedy. In only six weeks Troy managed to impress enough of the right people to earn him comedy spots at world famous comedy clubs Caroline’s on Broadway, Stand Up New York  and Gotham Comedy club.

Since returning from New York, Troy has worked for MIX FM and GOLD FM in Melbourne as part of the ‘on air’ promotional street teams. During this time Troy performed different ‘on air’ roles such as Bachelor ‘The Troy’, Rocketman, the Time Keeper, Santa Clause, and even interviewed Matt Lucas and David Williams – the cast of Little Britain.

Troy KinneAs well as performing regularly at comedy clubs around the country, Troy has been requested as the comedy act at many sportsman’s nights alongside guest celebrity speakers such as Merv Hughes, Billy Brownless, Brendan Fevola, Andrew Gaze, John Barnes, Shane Crawford, Tony Shaw, Sam Newman and Chopper Read. Troy has also been requested for many charity, corporate and Christmas functions, performed for workers at over 50 of Australia’s Mining Camps, and has recently returned from East Timor where he spent two weeks entertaining the Troops of Australia's Armed Defense Forces.

Troy has recently co-formed the company 100 Easy Street Productions who have produced two TV Pilot episodes of Sketch Comedy Show – No Monkeys On Bikes, which they hope will make it to TV very soon. As well as writing and video production, 100 Easy Street  also produces the comedy team Ear Candy  made up of Troy, Tom Siegert, Monty Franklin and Dave Thornton. Ear Candy  have performed at fund raising nights at sporting clubs all over the country.
